"Will you serve?" Exquisite Antique Miniature Toy Soup Tureen with lid and under tray, from the early 1800's. The diminutive toy tureen has a molded finial and two handles, and decorated with a rope design in inky blue/black around the tray, lid and tureen. The set is unmarked except for impressed tally marks.
Rare to find, considering its age and use by generations of children, this set is in good condition. It has a chip on the underside of the platter, but no cracks, or repairs, which is a miracle. The tureen itself is slightly darker patina than the tray. A sweet and gracious example of a rare early luxury child's toy. For you doll, bear and children's toy collection.
