19th Century Country Trencher, a fabulous size, amazing patina and wear. This is sometimes called a dough bowl. You can the hand of the maker, one side has a little chunk missing which makes me love it even more. Hand carved and heavy, from the mid 19th century, the wood has aged and mellowed over the centuries.
Imagine this in your French Country home, on your center island or dining room table filled with ferns and hydrangeas, apples, or other seasonal elements. Rare to find a large piece with this age.
