Rare French Enameled Mourning Plaque in the heart of Mary shape, with a cross at the top. Originally used as a memorial marker, in memoriam for Alexandre Brossillon, August 17, 1928. Beautifully decorative, in a shabby aged cream finish, there are three holes used for attaching this to a gravestone or wooden door. The back is rusted as is usual for these old pieces.
Collectible piece of French history, these are wonderful on display with a collection of religious antiques, saints and madonnas, or outdoors in the garden. A wonderful find!
