Beautiful 19th century Greenware Majolica Plate, with a decorative central design of a large and several smaller deep green grape leaves, surrounded by clusters of grapes, strawberry blossoms and strawberries. One of my personal favorites, I always thrill at finding this design. From the estate of a collector, made by Wedgwood, Etruria, England, late 1800's.
Stilt marks from the original firing on the back as you should find on Majolica of this time period. Marked on the back. This is a fabulous decorative plate to display with your collection of French and English early majolica plates, bowls and platters. This has an old professional repair to the rim, and a tight hairline, done long ago by the estate collector, please only purchase if you love and appreciate old pieces with the grace of time.
