Beautiful, despite having issues {we'll get to that shortly} this French Chatelaine has stunning Enamel Guilloche Jeweled Stones set in an ornate gilt setting. How stunning is this?! Worn long ago on a lady's chatelaine, this one has a perfume, a aide de memoir, and a case for a pencil. The center has decorative griffins, and is set with beautiful stones in aqua, red, and opaque, the enameled "buttons" are varied.
Condition is as shown, there is darkening, one of the small stones from the dangle is missing, and the pencil no longer has the part that slides out. At one point someone added a beaded chain, perhaps to wear as a necklace? No closure, you can add one, or cut the chain to remove. The back has soldered tunnels to hold the chain. Sold as found. Display this as is, or use each piece for creating some exceptional jewelry.
