French Fleamarket Vintage Oil Painting depicting a floral bouquet with pink, burgundy purple and yellow flowers arranged in a tall vase. Bought in France, this collectable painting is an original, signed by the artist R. Bezard, and dated 1968. Though not what I consider "great art" these fleamarket paintings are so decorative, with thickly applied paint, great colors. Painted on a canvas attached to a wood frame.
I imagine this painting stood outdoors along the Seine with its friends for awhile, the paint has crackeled over the decades as shown with parts of the paint chipped off. Beautiful colors of plum, rose, golden yellow, sage, olive green, sand, and brown. The canvas was nailed to the frame with large nails. Paintings like this look amazing in groups.
Please enlarge the photos, and please only purchase this piece if you love the relaxed shabby fleamarket style. There are spots where the paint has flaked off entirely.
