Brought to France in the late 1800's from England by a French family, this low cake stand has been used for generations for Sunday dinners. Bought in France, beautiful, and quite rare to find, this large serving piece is a treasure! The Floribel pattern was designed by the famous William A Adderley factory in Stoke on Trent, in 1876. If you are looking for unusual, exceptionally visually pleasing plates, these are them!
Beautifully decorated with floral motifs, butterflies and insects, it was transfer printed then hand colored, perfection! As you can see from the photos, there is patina, and this one has two small chips on the side. We have taken this into account with pricing. This is a gorgeous decorative stand to showcase your finest baking victories. Please only purchase this if you adore antiques with the grace of time. Set an exceptional table with one or more of these serving plates and the other pieces in this collection. Measures 9-1/2" x 2"h.
