Brought to France in the late 1800's from England by a French family, these plates have been used for generations for Sunday dinners.  Beautiful, and quite rare to find, these polychrome plates are a treasure! The Floribel pattern was designed by the famous William A Adderley factory in Stoke on Trent, in 1876. If you are looking for unusual, exceptionally visually pleasing plates, these are them!

Beautifully decorated with floral motifs, butterflies and insects, each plate was transfer printed then hand colored, perfection!  As you can see from the photos, there is craquelure, patina and discoloration on the plates, one has an edge chip. Please only purchase this set if you adore antiques with the grace of time.  {You can cover the plate with hydrogen peroxide and enclose in a plastic bag for several days should you wish to bleach this out.} Set an exceptional table with these plates and the other pieces in this collection. Sold in a set of eight.
