Exceptionally beautiful and collectable, this Antique Dresden Porcelain Desk set consists of a Letter Holder, Blotter and Ink Pot. The mark is that of Richard Klemm Decorating Studio, which made gorgeous hand painted luxury porcelains from 1869 and on in Dresden, Germany. From the late 1800's, this mark was in 1891-1914. Rococo style with all the scrolls and scallops we love, each piece is hand painted with decorative floral designs of roses, tulips, forget-me-not flowers and other garden favorites.
Imagine this on your antique French desk! Each floral embellishment is painted with great care and skill, as is the gilt line work. Absolutely elegant. In good antique condition, the little ink pot does have a chip on the rim which shows when opened, the letter holder has a small chip on the bottom back. These pieces are over a hundred years old and most likely used on a daily basis. A treasure to add to your collection of French, German, English and American 19th century porcelain art works.
