Antique Pressed Glass Covered or Lidded Compote, meant to display candies or cookies. This one came from a collection of old store display pieces, used in a general store on the counter. {I don't think this piece was made as a shop display, it was used for that} A wonderful piece of old glass, to display virtually anything you wish.
Use this on your tea table with sweet treats, in your guest bath for decorative soaps, your vanity to hold your pearls and diamonds, on your table for a collection of small shells. In good condition, with all the earmarks of early glass, small bubbles, annealing marks, display with your collection of antique French, English and American Glass. Measures 10" h x 6-1/8".
