Antique 19th Century French Blue Ironstone Wild Rose Bowl with a gorgeous floral design all around the rim, featuring wild roses. Fantastic large size, and in beautiful condition for its age. Stunning design featuring clusters of roses in full bloom, wild rose branches, surrounded by a border of little berry like stems, gorgeous! Made by Establissements Debray, Terre de Fer, although in the past we have sold the same pattern made by St. Amand, despite my research I have not been able to see if perhaps Debray was a small faiencerie bought by St. Amand. Never mind, this is a high quality piece you will love!
From an estate collector, made of cream earthenware with a high gloss glaze, the transfers are crisp and beautifully detailed. This bowl is a fabulous addition to your table, to your collection of luxury faience from France, to mix and match with abandon to set your most gracious tables. Lovely to display as art in your kitchen or dining room, just as happy to serve a salad, a beautiful arrangement of fruit, or luxury soaps in your guest bath.
