Beautiful, collectible and decorative set of six Blue Transferware Shallow Soup Bowls, made by Clairefontaine, Faience, of France in the late 1800's. The faience factory of Clairefontaine was founded in 1804 by Jean Francos Estienne, they are world renowned for their quailty Majolica, but also for transferware such as this. If you adore French 19th century Transferware, you will love this beautiful set. In good antique condition with a few utensil marks, lovely!
