Collectible pair of French figurines, gracefully posed, with beautiful period details.  He is a figurine peddler, he holds up a small cupid or angel to a passing young lady, in his basket are other ornamental statues. She is a graceful young woman out for a stroll on a beautiful day, with her parasol in one hand, a fan in the other to ward off some of the afternoon heat. She is beautifully dressed in lace and ribboned bows, he is wearing a vest and hat, knee breeches and buckled shoes.

This decorative pair is cast in a heavy metal with a bronze finish. Figures or sculptures like this were much in fashion in the late 1800's early 1900's, reproductions cast by foundries in France to emulate {or exact copies of} bronze sculptures by masters such as Morceau and E. Dumaige. A stunning pair to display with your collection, they will look wonderful on your mantel, on a French side table, or anywhere else you wish to display these two.
