For those of you who love memorial pieces, this 1800's petite statue made of gypsum is from France. Worn, weathered with the patina of over 100 years, this Victorian piece stole my heart. A small memorial, this features a young woman or girl grieving at a burial tomb with a cross in her hand, a wreath beside her. As you can see, this has a lot of age, it is smooth from being lovingly handled again and again. There is loss to the gypsum, particularly to the back underside. Diminutive, collectable size, this will display beautifully with your collection of antique French missals, crosses and other religious artifacts in your collection.
Rare to find in this miniature size, perfect to perch on top of a stack of antique Bibles. Please only purchase her if you adore the grace of time, she measures 4~1/2" x 2~1/8" x 3~1/2"h..
