A great pretender, this Vintage Plaster Putti with Basket of Fruit on his head looks like an antique carved wooden architectural fragment, but it's not. Bought at market, when I first spotted him I fell in love, but feared for his price, since wood antique fragments like this usually cost the earth.
Finding out he is an old plaster piece, I decided to love and accept him for what he is. Stunning, with all the details the 17th century wooden carvings have, without the price. Hang him in between your antique French oil paintings, or anywhere else you want a touch of charm.
