Antique French Country Ticking Fabric with denim blue stripes, made in the mid 1800's. {The name "denim" comes from French fabric de Nîmes, named after an area in France were these heavy ticking fabrics were made.} Wonderfully aged, this French fabric was most likely used as a mattress cover stuffed with feathers long ago. This was once upon a time waxed to give it extra strength, it's been washed in hot water so that it's fluid and soft.
Fabulous country blue with off-white colors, this rustic fabric has age marks, hand sewn seams and hems, some loose areas. Use this as is to cover a table, or for small upholstery projects or pillows. Indigo blue is always a classic, this is durable and will be around to bring beauty and country style for another 100 years.
