Exceptional and rare to find in this condition, 19th Century English Lady's Silver Plated Coffee or Mocha Set, made by Silber & Fleming Ltd. of London, England in the latter half of the 1800's. Silber & Fleming had offices in London, Birmingham and Paris, they designed, manufactured and sold silver, porcelains, and decorative arts between 1854 - 1898. Hallmark on bottom of pot.
This smaller lady's set is so beautiful, meant for a tete-a-tete in the late morning or early afternoon with one's best friend. The body of the pieces are richly embossed with flowing plumes, each bears a shield that could be monogrammed. The lids have elegant finials, the bone handle is refined. So thrilled to find this, in wonderful condition, the handle is very firmly attached but does wiggle slightly after being used and loved for over a century and a half. The little shield on the sugar has some very slight wear.
