19th Century Ironstone Lily of the Valley Syrup Pitcher with Pewter Lid made in the latter half of the 1800's. Not only does this have a pleasing shape, there are beautiful molded Lily of the Valley sprays on both sides. The pewter lid fits so well and is in wonderful condition.
This small syrup pitcher has achieved so much "buttering" {as my French dealer friends call aging of ironstone} over the last two centuries - it's perfection. The top has a shell detailed thumb. Age, history, stories to share, what could be better?!
