Set of Six Cream White Wedgwood Grape Leaf & Basketweave Plates, in the most beloved and classic design. Rarer to find in this gorgeous cream majolica, this set was made in the early 1930's. Wedgwood's tableware gained favor in aristocratic households throughout Britain and Europe in the 1700's, in 1765 he was commissioned to create a cream-colored earthenware service for Queen Charlotte. Wedgwood was given permission to call himself “Potter to Her Majesty” because the Queen was so thrilled with her dinner service.
This is a beautiful set of six, perfect as accent plates for salad or dessert. These are so decorative, they will look fabulous as display plates too. Sold in a set of 6.
