Beautiful Antique Silver and Wood Silverware Caddy, a delightful combination of dark wood and gleaming silver. Made by Gorham Co. in 1882. The silver soldered pierced gallery rim is elegantly detailed. Finely detailed classic feet add another design element to love.
In good antique condition, one of the screws seems to have been replaced long ago on the side where the wood centerpiece meets the silver, it is sturdy. As shown in the last photo, this area was filled in and painted in long ago. A wonderful addition to your collection, use this for silverware, but also as a stunning display piece for antique aperitif goblets, as an organizer on your desk, or to hold napkins.
