Extra Large Handmade Antique Metal Servant’s Hot Water Can made by a Victorian era ironmonger for an affluent household. Made for domestic use, servants transported hot water to bedrooms & bathrooms in this. The can is very well made and ergonomically constructed, it has a well supported carrying handle and pouring handle.
The hinged lid opens for adding hot water {and keeping it hot} from a bigger pot from cook's stove. Quite rare to find one of these with its charming striped painted details. These days, collectors use these in their garden or sunroom. There is wear to the paint as shown, LOVE this one, an exceptional find.
