19th Century Ironstone Large Soap Dish made by Meakin in the late 1800's and an Olive Oil Marseille Soap, married together "across the pond." The soap is made by artisan soap-makers in Provence following their centuries old traditions. Pure, natural ingredients, no coloring, synthetic additives or scents, petroleum-based products, palm oil or animal fats, unlike most of the other soaps on the market. The dish has aging and patina as shown, marked on the bottom.
An earthy fragrance transports you to the kitchen or bathroom of every French home. You should know that this soap will have rough edges, bumped corners, and may have soap "dust" - this is how it comes from France. A wonderful gift for your favorite host or hostess, or you - your dish will come with one soap.
