French Signed Oil Landscape Painting depicting country woods in autumn with trees by a stream, the very image of the French country side. This collectable painting is an original, signed by the {listed} artist in the right lower corner, J.B. Billard. I couldn't find out much about him, but did find a painting entitled "Portrait of an Oriental Woman" listed in the 2016 auction catalog of the Auction France Co.
Beautiful thickly applied paint on canvas attached to a wood frame. Verdant colors of green, olive, forest, moss green, browns and golden yellow. The sky is a gorgeous blue and cream. The canvas was nailed to the frame with large nails. Paintings like this look amazing in groups, this will bring you right back to that wonderful autumn day in the forest in France.
