Lovely early Antique Black Transferware Lidded Jam Pot with Lion Handles. This has such a elegant shape, each side features a different landscape with a church and an old castle. Made by Schramberg in the early 1800's, the pottery was established in 1820, and production was started in the Schramberg castle.
The lid has a beautiful circular design of flowers, with a floral design on the very top of the knob. These jam pots are rare to find, as a much used item for daily breakfast meals, usually I find them with a lid, or with a repaired lid. This one is a treasure!
