19th Century Antique French White Ironstone Round Meat or Fish Platter Drain or drainer, with a stunning pierced radiating design. A wonderful and decorative platter drain that would be placed on a larger platter for the excess juices of the fish or meat to drain into the platter below. Heavy with signs of usage as shown. Marked with the number 112 on the mat underside.
Made in the late 1800's to very early 1900's, these pristine drainers are getting quite rare to find. A fantastic piece to add to your antique French, English and Continental white ware and strainers / drainers collection. Highly collectable , these look wonderful displayed in a group as shown in the last photo or used as a serving trivet at the table.
