Exceptional Antique English Blue Transferware Sugar Box with Shepherd, this piece dates to the very early 1800's, around 1820. There is much to love about this piece of history, it does have some chips around the rim of the top. From a collector, who cherished this one so much he had a special metal wire holder made so that it could be displayed on his wall.
Beautiful decorative deep cobalt blue design of a country shepherd playing a flute while his dog listens attentively. Sheep wander in the meadow. What's not to fall in love with?! The lid, I wish it was in better condition, but it is 200 years old and it is what it is. Please only adopt this beauty if you can live with it.
