Antique Flow Blue Dinner Plates, a set of six, with a beautiful cobalt blue design and hand painted gilt accents on the scalloped rim with details. Made in the Middleport pottery during the turn of the century and created by Burgess & Leigh, Staffordshire, England. Burleigh began producing earthenwares in 1851, this mark dates the plates to the early 1900's.
The central Victorian design is a beautiful classic oriental pagoda and a large urn surrounded with a floral pattern all around. The scalloped edges are delicately highlighted with a discreet gilt rim, on four areas the flowers on the rim have been accented with the gold. A wonderful set of dinner plates, it's rare to find six large plates of the same design at the same time!
