Stunning Pair of French Atelier Le Tallec Hand Painted Chinois Porcelain Apothecary Jars. Le Tallec pieces are of the luxury quality of Sèvres, Porcelaine de Paris and other fine quality French porcelains. Founded in 1928 by Camille Le Tallec, and known for its careful craftsmanship of Limoges porcelain created entirely by hand. Le Tallecc collaborated with Puiforcat, La Rochas and Tiffany & Co. which now owns the company.
These two private collection apothecary jars are exceptional. On glossy black, the artist painted each of the 4 panels with a different Chinoiserie scene in gilt. The lid has miniature versions, and the finials are painted in gilt. Beautiful condition, fully marked on the underside with the listed artist initials, the mark, and date letters for 1961.
