Exceptional, this Antique French Ch. Pillivuyt et Cie Dinner Service for 8 was made before 1867 in Mehun-sur-Yevre, France. Founded by Jean Louis Richard Pillivuyt in 1818, Pillivuyt et Cie was known for the highest quality porcelains. Bankrupt after WWI, the company sold it's remaining assets to a Swiss company. {The modern available Pillivuyt porcelain products have no relationship to the exquisite Ch. Pillivuyt & Cie creations produced in the 1800's.}
This gorgeous service for eight has hand painted 24 kt. gold gilt rims and detailing, with a sweet violet floral garland dancing around the rims. Each piece has the elegant monogram of SVS.
