Vintage French Baker's Bread Basket used in a bakery in France. The basket is lined with the original linen which has darkened, mainly on the inside, from being used for decades to "rest" the baguette dough for rising, then the bread was put back in basket to cool.
Great condition, made of willow, and comes with the linen liner, as shown {easily removed should you wish to do so by snipping off the tread used to hand sew this on basket}. Beautiful as a display in your French Country Cuisine {kitchen} or line with one of our antique French towels to serve bread.
