Stunning Antique French Green Glazed Confit Pot from the Southwest of France with traditional green glaze. The green glaze is absolutely beautiful, it has that luminous quality we love. Once used daily in a French cuisine, this ordinary terra cotta pot is now amongst the most avidly collected antiques from France.
This one has such fabulous color, chips and imperfections help authenticate these pots as they were utilitarian type pieces. Of all the antique confit pots, those having a green glaze are the most rare to find. This one has a hole in the bottom for drainage if used as a planter, or you can have it wired and use it as a fabulous decorative lamp base. Last photo shows a few of the other green antique pots.
