Charming Easter or Spring Table

Spring has finally arrived here at FrenchGardenHouse! The garden is blooming with signs of Spring, the birds are singing the sweetest songs, I’ve even spotted a few bees buzzing along from flower to flower. The reminder of God’s gift of hope and renewal makes me so grateful, this season is meant for celebration. Today I’ve set a very easy, sensational Charming Easter or Spring Table. A detailed source list can be found at the end of this post.

Charming Easter or Spring Table

Welcome to Monday Morning Blooms!  Today Mary, Pam and I are excited to welcome two guests, our friends Sarah of Hyacinths for the Soul, and Janet of Rosemary & Thyme.  You won’t want to miss these two talented women, they always inspire!

Monday Morning Blooms For Spring

Sharing Easter or any other Spring meal with your family and friends is always more special around a table you have set with love. This year, I’m setting this charming Easter table for our friends and family to gather around. This setting works so beautifully for any Spring event, whether you host a breakfast, brunch, luncheon, tea or dinner! The soft colors make it a show stopper every time.

The Art of Beautiful Tables

Before we get started, I have a winner for the beautiful Victoria book The Art of Beautiful Tables! Chosen randomly, my winner is Linda H.! Congratulations, Linda. I know you will LOVE this gorgeous book!

Charming Easter or Spring Table

Here is our Charming Easter or Spring Table, it works for every time and anytime this Spring!  We have had so much rain here at FrenchGardenHouse that every single leaf, blade of grass and flower is bright, bright and bright! And on this {finally!} sunny day, I set the first table outside in the garden.

{I wish a blog could have sound! The birds were singing so sweetly, they are just as excited to see the sun as we are!}

It is so delightful to see the sun on my table, even though there were clouds moving in and out, as you can see by the varying degrees of “bright” in the photos of the table.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

Spring Flowers:

For the focal point of this table, I got an antique French enamelware coffee pot, and prepared it for the flowers.  Because these pots are mostly collected for display only and they often don’t hold water, I inserted a glass to fill with water. The clear florist’s tape really helps support larger arrangements. Simply criss cross the top of the container. I like to encircle the top of the pot with another strip of tape to hold the ends of the ‘criss-cross’ parts secure.

I picked up stunning golden apricot pink Roses, pink orange Parrot Tulips, Sweetie Pie mini Carnations, white Alstroemeria, and a little bundle of eucalyptus. They seemed a perfect complement for the new Charming tablecloths from the shop!

Since these antique pots sometimes have a bit of rusting on the bottom, I set the arrangement on an antique white ironstone platter to protect this happy and stunning tablecloth.

This stunning floral tablecloth has all the spring colors and flowers we adore on it! Pink tulips, yellow daffodils, large pink wild roses, little marguerites. Isn’t it gorgeous? The color is a soft buttery creamy yellow, and the design has a vintage feeling.

These new glittery bee napkin rings are happily buzzing with joy to hold each napkin in a beautiful fold.

Each place setting features a scalloped white plate, French silverware, and a pressed glass goblet for ice tea or maybe a glass of white wine.

Each guest has a spring place card, which I tied around a little bag of the most adorable guest soaps for each of our friends to take home.

What would a spring or Easter table be without a sprinkling of a few bunnies dressed in their finest Spring flowers?  Our little French Country rabbits are each dressed in ribbons, and their own floral corsage for the season. Each one has its own personality, {There are a few left in the gift collection.}

I hope this table set in our garden has brought you joy!

  3. Oh Lidy, this is just gorgeous! The flowers, swoon! The tablecloth and napkins are so pretty and that bunny stole my heart! All in your beautiful garden setting with green grass and lovely blooms in the background, what a very special spot to linger, enjoy and give thanks. I have no idea where your home is located but if these photos were taken this year, you are MUCH further south than I am. We’ve only just had daffodils and a few other spring flowers open and bloom and blossoms from flowering trees JUST bloomed last week. As for 5 miles away on the mountain, I doubt there is any of this. Other plants may have buds but that’s it, nothing else. And I’m in the mid-Atlantic region an hour outside of Washington, DC. There is NO way I could ever do a table like this before the later half of May for it to be anywhere close to being this green. Most people haven’t even started mowing lawns or anything yet. This has been the CRAZIEST of winters. January and February were actually warmer than March. FINALLY it felt like winter in March, JUST when everyone is sick of it all and actually want it to be warm. But, maybe the cold in March killed bugs and items which should have been killed in January and February. I just hope April gets a LOT warmer.

    1. I hope your April gets a lot warmer too, Pamela! Happy Easter!

  5. Lidy, your garden is so vibrant! The rains apparently were very good to your landscape! Your table is so delightful with your pretty French linens and complementary floral arrangement. What beautiful selections you made! Congratulations to your reader winner. I hope you signed her copy, perhaps on one of your featured tables! Thank you for inspiring and sharing. Happy Easter!

    1. Thank you Rita! All that rain has certainly shown us that grass really likes a lot of water! Wishing you a beautiful Easter too! xo Lidy

  6. Lidy, I’m in awe of your green garden! My choice is always to dine alfresco, and your garden offers the perfect ambiance. Old French enamelware is fun as an alfresco vase. Your blooms are calling out to me. French tulips do it every time! Congratulations to Linda. She will enjoy this beautiful book. Thanks for the invitation to join you ladies today. It’s always a pleasure and an honor.
    Happy Easter!

    1. Sarah, it is such a blessing to have talented YOU join us today! I love your mossy bunnies!! I agree, French tulips are the epitome of spring, aren’t they? Wishing you a blessed Easter, dear friend. xo Lidy

  8. Lidy, Charming indeed! What beauty today you have shared. I love your tablecloth and napkins and the gorgeous bee napkin rings. You reminded me I bought some bee napkin rings in Italy and have forgotten about them. They are just plain, but I do need to use them.
Your alfresco table is lovely, and I love all the flowers you have artfully arranged in the antique french enamel pitcher.
Your words are beautiful. Your words and photos have bought me joy today.
Wishing you and your husband a wonderful Easter.

    1. Bonnie, thank you. I’m so happy you will be taking out your bee napkin rings, they are such a cute addition to any table. Happy Easter!

Love the bee napping rings, tablecloth, egg cups and eggs, oh and the flowers and your lovely garden all dressed in Spring green. The rain that drenched California was a blessing even if it did major damage in some area. Your family get together will be spectacular .

    1. Alice, thanks so much for coming by! A pretty table is easy to set with lovely linens, isn’t it? Wishing you a beautiful week ahead too!

  10. Hello dearest, Lidy.

Thank you for the invitation and giving me a little push to start-up my blog again! I truly appreciate it. So glad to be joining you this week.

Your setting is gorgeous and filled with all the things that I find beautiful. Especially the pretty floral arrangement but I am swooning over that lovely vintage tablecloth and napkins. It is one that I hope to add to my collection along with the lovely lilac tag cards.

I want to express how happy I am to have met you online. I feel as if we have kindred souls as you mold your creations. I think of how much I would adore to do the same. You’re just a joy. I know that sometimes we don’t tell people thank you enough to let them know how much they mean to us even if our contact is fleeting. Once you touch somebody’s life in a memorable way you are part of them forever. Lydia, I think you touch so many and so I am grateful this Easter for you. Thank you. With love from a distance.
