Calming French Provence Lavender

Embrace the changing role of “home” this new season with the pure, calming scent of French Lavender.   The subtle scent of lavender will bring a new meaning to luxurious relaxation at home. Not just for linen or clothing closets, a little bundle of these in an antique French wood bowl on your table is decorative and brings a calming atmosphere.  Calming French Provence Lavender, it’s a beautiful and good thing this season.

I searched for the best quality lavender I could find from France.  Grown high in the hills of Provence, and harvested to deliver the strongest scent to delight your senses.

Our lavender sachets are made in a small home studio, with antique French ticking fabrics, and backed with vintage French linen. The fabric may show aging – what you love, right?

The square sachets are sewn and hand filled exclusively just for us you.  I sourced a variety of antique French tickings, in traditional colors of creams, beiges, blues and some red.

Perfect to keep the South of France in your heart, these antique ticking pillows will transport you to Provence where the heady scent of lavender fills the air.  Filled with organic dried French lavender from Provence, you can gently squeeze the sachets to release more of the lavender scent. Heavenly!

You can create a stunning stack and display in your decor. I love a few in an antique wood bowl in the living room.

Lavender is a natural sleep aid.  One of my favorite hotels in Europe supplies a little bag of lavender to tuck under your pillow for each guest.  They say “it works!” for everyone.

Lavender has long been considered a stress and headache reliever and mood enhancer. Gently squeeze a sachet and place it next to you in the bed, or just inside your pillow case before you go to sleep.

Another benefit of lavender is that it is supposed to keep moths out of your linens.  Centuries ago, French lavanderies and French house keepers tucked dried lavender in their linen armoires and commodes to drive out moths and keep them from returning.

{Ps. one of my clients says she squeezes her lavender sachets from FrenchGardenHouse just before placing it in her dryer and lets the laundry dry another minute on medium to low heat for an amazing scent. I haven’t tried it, if you do, please let us know if it works!}

Our antique ticking linen sachets are filled with a wonderful amount of lavender, they are extra large and measure about 7 inches square.  They are packaged nicely, ready to give. Although you might want to order a few for yourself as they are hard to let go of once they arrive chez vous!

    Please send me information on your imported products from France.

    1. Louise, you can find everything we offer on our shop site at frenchgardenhouse.com

  4. I love lavender, I finally have some coming back faithfully year after year here at the lake. Sachets are a weakness for me. I wonder why people are more obsessed with plug in room fragrances when they can have something soothing in a drawer of clothing or tucked in between pillows?

    Off to have a look at your collection!

    a lovely post! I think I need a lavender sachet to slip under my pillow to remind me of warmer climes, it has been such a cold spring down our way!
