Welcome back to our {Chef Lisa of DeliciousTable and FrenchGardenHouse} AUTUMN ENTERTAINING SERIES. As promised, here is the first recipe from the gorgeous appetizer party we planned together for you to host!

This delightfully fresh Meyer Lemon Tapenade Appetizer is perfect to serve at parties and holidays. Best of all, it’s so simple to make, you will be making and serving this all the time!

Lisa is such a talented chef, her recipes are easy to make, and absolutely delicious. It’s an honor to work with her. Together we created this AUTUMN ENTERTAINING SERIES just for you, to take the stress and worry out of entertaining this season, and provide you with a few wonderful “go to” ideas for beautiful, easy entertaining.

I know you are going to be all set with the most amazing ideas for table settings and recipes for your best entertaining season ever!

More appetizer recipes are coming soon, the Brie & Bacon Palmiers {!!}, delicious Spiced Nuts, and a gorgeous autumn cocktail that is on the “healthy” side that might just be your favorite holiday cocktail choice this season.

Later this month, in preparation for Thanksgiving entertaining, we’ll share our beautiful table setting and a recipe for the most delicious individual Apple Pies.

We have a little lemon tree in or front garden in a huge pot that actually produces lemons several times a year! I am always so excited to go out there and pick one for a recipe, or as a garnish for a meal.

Even if you don’t have a garden, a few herbs in a pot, {and if you have the climate and space for it} a little fruit tree in a pot makes you feel like you have a petit potager, al la française.

One of the best things about all the appetizer recipes we’re sharing with you is that they also make the most wonderful Hostess Gifts!!  For all the autumn parties and dinners you go to. For your Thanksgiving host or hostess. Pack a jar in an antique French basket, together with a loaf of French bread, flowers, and a few bottles of wine and you will be everyone’s favorite guest!

You can make a big batch, and serve the tapenade with crusty bread or crackers, or in little sweet peppers at your party.

And pack the rest in little containers such as these vintage French jars shown here, and gift away! How perfect is that?

This recipe is so fresh and delicious. Meyer lemons, green and kalamata olives, parsley, and capers are heavenly mixed together.  It beats store bought tapenade every time!

This recipe is worth making at home. And you will make it again and again. I Promise.

  • 1 cup green olives (pitted and drained)
  • 1 cup Kalamata olives (pitted and drained)
  • 1/4 cup capers, drained
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley leaves, chopped
  • 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • zest and juice of 1 Meyer lemon (you can use regular lemons, Meyer lemons are sweeter)
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh cracked pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  1. Combine all ingredients (except olive oil)  in a small food processor, pulse 8 times.
  2. Next, add olive oil, scrape down the bowl, and pulse 4 more times.
  3. Allow to rest in the fridge for a few hours, and serve with crackers, baguette slices, or mini bell peppers halves ~ healthy and low carb!
  4. Stores well in mason jars in the fridge for up to a week.

note: if you don’t have a food processor, simply chop the green and kalamata olives, capers, and parsley finely on a board, and mix with other ingredients in a bowl.

I know you will love this!

Thank you for joining us for our AUTUMN ENTERTAINING SERIES, together let’s make this your most beautiful {and stress free!} entertaining season ever.
