Rare to find, this Antique Cutting Board has gallery sides, and plenty of stories to tell! Wonderful patina, with a century of use and grace, what a fabulous find for your French country or farmhouse kitchen. Boards like this were used in the mid 1800’s, early 1900’s for slicing baguettes, as herb chopping boards or for making pastry {most home kitchens did not have marble} the sides were to keep the little bits from falling on the floor or counter top.
This board has plenty of personality to fill your home with your own personal style. As shown, a little bit has run away from the top edge. Use it to serve a charcuterie board during the cocktail hour when entertaining, or display with your other antique chopping boards. We have cleaned this using salt and lemon for you. You won’t find many like this one!
