Incredible Antique French Silk Lingerie Holder with Gold Bullion Lace, the best I’ve ever seen outside of a museum. This is so gorgeous, a once-in-a-lifetime find for those of you who collect. Made of blue charmeuse silk, the front is embellished with an elegant French couple surrounded by gold bullion lace and trim. The case closes with gold thread encased round buttons.
The back is completely covered in the gold lace, the inside is quilted. An astounding treasure, sure to be the star of your vanity and lingerie holder collection. In wonderful condition, the front has faded compared to the inside , but there are no splits, which is almost always the case for these 19th century boudoir pieces. Most likely meant to hold either silk stockings or gloves. Don’t miss this one!
