Lovely Antique Pewter Melon Finial Tea Pot Set with Sugar & Creamer, a set of two pots, one for tea the other either for hot water or coffee, and a sugar and creamer. The finials on the two pots have a most charming melon figural on them. Their ribbed body design and flourising handles are what makes these special along with the melon finials.
Most likely made on the continent of Europe, the maker’s marks are not legible unfortunately, which is not unusual in pewter and Brittania metal sets. A delight to display, the larger tea pot has been repaired at one time in its history, you can see where a new pin was soldered in to make the like open smoothly. Please look at the photos to see that. It’s hardly noticable but I like to mention it for accuracy. A sweet set, at a wonderful price!
