Gorgeous heavy weight Antique French Country Hand Woven Homespun Linen Grain Sack with Blue Stripes, in a delicious darker oatmeal color, with 3 dark blue stripes. 19th century grain sacks were hand-woven and used for storing grains, the stripe design and color indicated which family farm it belonged to and ensured that the miller returned the sack to the right owner. These sacks were meant to stand the test of time.
From the early 1800’s, this linen, flax and hemp textile was grown without the use of pesticides, the fabric is 100% organic. Easy to wash, 100% machine washable, over and over and over. This is a very durable textile, perfect for upholstery projects, pillow covers, table runners {open up the side seams and it will be 76″ long}, dog beds, lampshades, even outdoor use because hemp is naturally mold and mildew resistant.
