In Oxford, England, where the Thames is known as the Isis, the art of tin glazed ceramics continues to flourish. Deborah Sears, painter, designer and owner of Isis Ceramics, has collected 17th century English Delftware for many years. From this enthusiasm arose this exceptional range of ceramics in beautiful patterns and shapes that evoke the spirit of 17th and 18th century England.
Scalloped Plate in a beautiful hand-painted pattern that evokes the spirit of 17th and 18th century England. Done in tonal shades of Flint Grey, which is a color for all Isis Ceramics signature patterns. Dated 1998. Entirely made by hand using techniques that have changed little since the early 1600's. Each one is an original, hand painted work of art, signed and numbered on the back. Measures 10-1/8".
