Beautiful decorative print in the original gilt painted frame, this sweet chromolithograph is entitled "Her Gift" and the artist is Charles Clyde Squires. The print features a touching and romantic scene of a beautiful young wife who has just given birth to the sweetest baby, while her handsome and proud husband looks at both of them with great love. Signed in the left corner by the artist, this is an exceptional print to add to your collection of Victorian era artwork, this is from 1909.
The artist was a beloved illustrator and contributed to publications such as Life, American Magazine, Argosy, Collier's, Delineator, Harper's, Judge, and The Ladies' Home Journal. The print is in good condition, the colors are white, pink, soft golden yellows, greens and black. Lots of feminine details, frothy lace pillows, cutwork tablecloth, and what mother wouldn't adore receiving a gorgeous large pink rose arrangement accented with ferns? Original gold frame has some wear on the edges as to be expected. I have had my husband paper the back for you, as it was in tatters. Measures 14-1/4" x 10-1/2" x 1".
