Exceptionally large Antique French Poissonnière, Fish Poacher, a wonderful rustic example of artisanally made copperware from France. Hand made, the poacher has a heavy rolled lip, Hand forged iron/bail handle secured by three heavy duty copper rivets. Made by local artisans all over France in the 18th, 19th and early 20th century.
Pieces like this bring charm, history and a little quirkiness to your French Country home. I use mine as a centerpiece, to hold onions, or to display with seasonal decorations, apples, pumpkins, flowering plants in the spring. Lots of decorative display opportunities.
