Fresh Take Tablesetting: Natural Harvest

One of the things I love best about the changing of  the seasons is decorating with the rich colors of Autumn.  This Fall, I am giving my table a fresher and lighter, natural look by using a vibrant all chartreuse green palette.

It’s so easy to put together this quick, colorful and fun tablesetting  inspired by the colors and scents of harvest.  To create this table,  I started with a simple white tablecloth, and layered two lengths of bright chartreuse green satin ribbon down the center for a rich blast of color.  For the centerpiece, I chose one of our large  Fleamarket Metal Plateaus and placed it in the center of the table. On top, I layered a natural grapevine wreath, {buy it at a craft store or your florist} with different mosses tucked in here and there, and placed a few fresh pears carefully under the loose grapevine tendrils.  In the center, white and cream pillar candles in varying heights give off a welcome glow.   More fresh pears are lined up around the plateau.

I started each placesetting with a simple white plate, then layered on a green smaller plate.  Bright green napkins add another dimension of color.  The placecard is a fresh pear, with a leaf shape cut out of card stock ~write each guest’s name on it with a green marker, and simply stick into the pear at the top.  Notice how I crossed our French Brasserie Flatware on top of the napkin for added interest.  Different sizes of our French Glassware in green and clear glass complete each setting.

Each guest deserves a special treat, so I took my green theme a step further and wrapped a box of home made cookies in white paper, tied it up with gold and green ribbon, and for an extra surprise, clipped one of our Mercury Glass Birds on top!  This table is so easy to do, it’s perfect for this time of year. For a celebration dinner, or Sunday dinner!

Lidy, this is lovely! I like the use of fresh pears in the centerpiece and the cookie boxes with glass birds attached are a beautiful touch. It is always nice to have a little gift on the table for guests and these are perfect…

I love choosing just the perfect little gift for my guests, too, Lisa. And…you can eat the pears if you want a lighter dessert than what is being served. {not that I probably would…..but maybe!
