Thanksgiving Inspiration

I am thankful that this year, we will be joining my daughter’s Mother in Law and her family for Thanksgiving, as our own kitchen is being completely redone. {So there will be no cooking or baking for us at all. there is no range, as yet!} One of the things I enjoy most about hosting our family for Thanksgiving is setting a pretty table, and creating a beautiful centerpiece.  Here is some last minute inspiration for you.

I loved this centerpiece I created for Cottages & Bungalows Magazine a few years ago. To see  this and a few other ideas for Holiday Centerpiece ideas go here.

I love this tablesetting, above, how simple and beautiful is that?  Fruits and vegetables arranged on a plate, some greenery, votive candles, gorgeous!  Photography by Carla Ten Eyck

Abolutely beautiful,  and so simple. This arrangement is stunning, and not very expensive.  A pumpkin, with holes around the sides, insert those little florist water tubes filled with flowers, and viola!  A stunning centerpiece. I personally would place this on an antique silver cake pedestal, or an antique architectural capital for maximum effect.

This how to is from creative genius Karen Lidbeck Brent.

Another gorgeous photo by Karen Lidbeck Brent.  A wonderful way to greet guests with a drink in your front garden or on your front porch before the Thanksgiving meal.

Just so lovely, I particularly love the natural “wreath” handle on this arrangement.
