Feather your Nest for Spring

Ahh…SPRING!! Did you know that we celebrated the first official day of Spring already {last weekend} ? Most of us are eagerly awaiting that first little bloom in the garden, and the kiss of sunshine. Even here in California we have had a cold, wet winter, and we can’t wait for Spring to begin and all the joys outdoor weather brings.  I am excited about being outside, drinking coffee or tea on my little patio in the sun, listening to the birds sing, and dressing in bright, colorful colors, aren’t you?

To get us all motivated, and jump start your Easter decorating, I came across these stunning images of nests, eggs and flowers.  Nests and Eggs just signify nature and rebirth, two of the most typical symbols of Spring.  Perfect for any spring or Easter table, you can fill nests with little candy eggs marched down the center of your table, fill a big nest with flowers for the centerpiece, and leave a tiny nest filled with a treat on top of each plate as a favor.  Be Inspired!

    Dear Lidy,

Just got my copy of RH and sooo loved the article on you and your lovely home! Gosh, 14 pages of yumminess! I know you must be so excited, too! I especially love your bedroom and that gilt framed vanity mirror! I’ve got a similar one. Your kitchen (and especially the painted floor there) are terrific, too! Not to mention your office!

I have been quite busy with my spring cleaning and nest feathering. Yesterday I offered a peek of my office. My desk chair looks oh so lovely with it’s new linen slipcover. Come take a peek.

I haven’t either. For some reason Easter always “sneaks up” on me…so I thought we’d better get on it.
