Happy Valentine’s Day & Winner!

Of all celebrations, Valentine’s Day is the sweetest. When else can you sneak in a love note, and not have your friends or kids think you’ve “gone over the bend?”

Of all excuses to decorate in soft, pastel colors, ruffles, lace and roses, this day surely is the BEST excuse. Not that we need one.

I love this day.  It’s the perfect day to show those you love, that you do.

It’s fun to bake heart shaped waffles or pancakes for breakfast. To add a special surprise to lunch boxes.  To make a special dinner, even if it’s only the table setting that is special, and you are serving everyone’s favorite spaghetti and meatballs.

A great time to send an old fashioned card or letter, handwritten by you.  Texting and email are great, but they aren’t the same as a sweet note that you can keep forever, tied with ribbon, to cherish and reread at your leisure.

So I wish all of you a happy, happy day, celebrating all the people you love.  Friends, children, family, and your special someone.

I’m sharing some of our most romantic photos from days gone past.  Treasures which have long ago found new and loving homes, and are being enjoyed there by their new owners.

And, I’m excited to announce the winner of our HERS – Design with a Feminine Touch Book GIVEAWAY!

We put all the qualifying entries into a random number generator, and this is the WINNER:

Deborah White Cashwell of Miss Bee’s Haven!  Congratulations! And THANK YOU….all you dears, for entering our giveaway. If I had hundreds of copies, I would gladly give each and every one of you one. I so cherish all of you, and am so grateful for all the wonderful friendships we have made through FrenchGardenHouse! Wishing you the happiest day, filled to the last minute with sweet moments, and love. xoxo  Lidy
